If one says mp3 and one says wmv, that's your problem, some are in a format your phone can't read. Hover your mouse over each one and look at where it says "item type:" These days people's music collections come from all over the place, internet mix tapes, digital downloads from various stores using different codecs, CD's you've ripped yourself, software you use converting your music to it's own format.įirstly! on your computer find a song you know works on your phone and one you know doesn't work, are they the same format? This is what it comes down too, don't worry it's not a problem with your computer or phone. Just because WMP can play a file and the file works fine, doesn't mean something else (e.g. ![]() Your phone will not have the same collection of these codecs as WMP, this can be because it's made by a different company, they haven't bothered to include them, or the company who owns the codecs want money to allow them to use their codec. This has various different codecs (the things that read your digital music), this allows it to play a lot of different kinds of music and video files.
